The composer has created a motif with the style of Shaanxi province that runs throughout the piece, with the chimes appearing five times, symbolizing the five gates of the city wall. Additionally, during the chimes section of the piece, the lower two sets of chimes will play a total of 120 basic low notes, commemorating the 120th anniversary of the founding of Taipei City.
