Hey everyone! 🥰
Want a delicious Snickers-style bar without sugar, flour, or baking? This is it!
These healthy bars have a crunchy oat-nut base, a rich date-peanut caramel layer, crunchy peanuts, and a smooth chocolate coating. They’re incredibly tasty, satisfying, and perfect for everyday snacking or a guilt-free dessert.
Recipe for cooking and ingredients:
Base layer:
• Rolled oats — 1 cup + 2 tbsp (3 oz / 90 g)
• Peanut butter — 3 tbsp (1.8 oz / 50 g)
• Agave syrup — 2 tbsp (≈30 ml)
• Vanilla extract — to taste
• Salt — a pinch
Caramel layer:
• Dates — 100 g (≈3.5 oz)
• Peanut butter — 3 tbsp (1.8 oz / 50 g)
Peanut layer:
• Peanuts — ¾ cup (3.5 oz / 100 g)
• Salt — a pinch
Chocolate topping:
• Sugar-free dark chocolate — ⅔ cup (2.8 oz / 80 g)
• Coconut oil — 1 teaspoon
Instructions:
1. Lightly toast 1 cup + 2 tbsp rolled oats (90 g) in a dry pan. Grind them in a blender.
2. Mix the ground oats with 3 tbsp peanut butter, 2 tbsp agave syrup, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Press the mixture into a parchment-lined pan and refrigerate.
3. Soak 100 g dates in hot water for 15 minutes, remove pits.
4. Blend the dates with 3 tbsp peanut butter until smooth and caramel-like.
5. Toast ¾ cup peanuts (100 g), add a pinch of salt, and mix with the date caramel. Spread this as the second layer and place in the freezer.
6. Melt ⅔ cup sugar-free dark chocolate (80 g) with 1 tsp coconut oil. Pour over the top layer.
7. Refrigerate for 30 minutes until the chocolate sets.
8. Cut into bars and enjoy!
Bonus Aromatic Tea: Add a cinnamon stick, 2 tbsp green tea, 1 tsp barberry, and 1 tsp dried raspberries to a teapot. Pour over boiling water and steep for 4–6 minutes.
Serving & Storage Store in the refrigerator for up to 10 days or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
